What Image Group says about itself

The model agency "Įvaizdžių grupė" (Image Group) was registered in 1998. It was founded by three well-known Lithuanian models: Renata Mikailionytė, Julija Maslinskaja and Meda Jonaitytė.

Since 2000 the agency has also used the international name "MAJOR IMAGE GROUP". IMAGE GROUP is a direct English translation of the agency's name, and MAJOR was added after signing an agreement with MAJOR MODEL MANAGEMENT, which has offices in Milan, New York and Munich and also works with model agencies in other countries around the world, including Japan, France, Greece, Spain, England and Australia. From the day this agreement was signed, "Įvaizdžių grupė" has been known on the international market as "MAJOR IMAGE GROUP" and has committed to holding model castings across Lithuania twice a year, after which the selected girls are presented to an international panel of model agencies. Following these castings, around forty girls have tried their hand at foreign model agencies, and about twenty are successfully continuing international modelling careers. This side of the agency's work is overseen by Julija Maslinskaja and Meda Jonaitytė.

In Lithuania our agency works with all the leading magazines, such as "Panelė", "Moteris", "Laima", "Ieva", "Cosmopolitan", "Moters savaitgalis" and others. We work with many advertising agencies and with Lithuania's best-known fashion designers: Sandra Straukaitė, Ramunė Piekautaitė, Vitalijus Čepkauskas and Sonata Bylaitė, Giedrius Šarkauskas, Jolanta Talaikytė, Jolanta Rimkutė and Ieva Ševekovaitė, Jurga Januškevičiūtė, Gabrielė Januškevičiūtė and others. This area is overseen by Renata Mikailionytė, who is also the producer and coordinator of "Mados infekcija", Lithuania's largest fashion festival, and the director and coordinator of the festival-exhibitions "Baltijos tekstilė ir oda" and "Baltijos stilius", organised by the Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association.

2010 update: Image Group ended its exclusive partnership with Major Model Management and began working with a wider range of agencies. Image Group chose NEXT as its main partner, but the arrangement is not exclusive. NEXT also works with other model agencies in Lithuania.

Supermodels' opinion of Image Group

Image Group is known for the fact that its owners are well-known faces in Lithuania with plenty of connections in television, magazines and advertising agencies. Another strength of this agency is that, under its agreement with Major Model Management, it is committed to holding annual castings around Lithuania. The castings visit not only Lithuania's largest cities but also more remote parts of the country. They look for new faces both for Major Model Management and for other agencies around the world.

Major Image Group also represents male models. They can quite often be seen at various events and in advertising in Lithuania. Image Group co-owner Renata Mikailionytė organises the fashion festival "Mados Infekcija" twice a year, which can be compared to a Lithuanian fashion week. Organising this event makes the agency unique in Lithuania.
