AMBER MODELS is a model agency founded in Lithuania in 2003. Throughout that time it represented the global model agency METROPOLITAN here, and since 2009 it has been the Lithuanian representative of the well-known international agency Major Model Management.

The owner of the "Major Amber Models" agency is the well-known model Agnė Stankūnaitė-Dagilė, who has worked successfully as a model abroad and in Lithuania for many years.

What makes this agency different from others? It selects fewer models, but all of them get more work and more opportunities to develop their careers. The models represented by this agency mostly work abroad. "Major Amber Models" works with the most famous model agencies in the world's fashion capitals, Milan, Paris, London and New York, as well as with agencies based in Austria, Greece, Spain, Japan, China, Switzerland, Germany and many other countries.

The "Major Amber Models" agency also works with Lithuanian designers and the country's biggest women's publications: the magazines "Laima", "Ieva", "Cosmopolitan", "L'Officiel Mada", "Panelė" and "Moteris".

The goal of Major Amber Models: to manage its models' careers so that they become the faces of well-known advertising campaigns and the world's most famous fashion houses!

The Supermodels agency's opinion of "Major Amber Models"

Background: the D-MAX models agency was founded by Belgian photographer Xavier F.J Bonhomme together with Violeta Repčenkaitė. Violeta later fell out with her partner and set up her own agency in Lithuania, "AMBER model agency", with herself as its face. "Amber model agency" was later renamed Metropolitan. Some time after that, Violeta sold or transferred her share to the current owner.

This agency does not actively promote itself and has not organised any model scouting tours in recent years. Its profile at present rests mainly on the international brand itself. The Supermodels agency does not see any active work by Major Amber Models in Lithuania.

Rumours and reviews about Major Amber Models

• For a long time the Major agency's name was part of another model agency's name. Since the partners in Lithuania changed, there has been confusion, and not all models understand which agency actually represents the Major model agency.

Supermodels verdict

In the Supermodels agency's opinion, Metropolitan is a small agency in Lithuania that is able to use the name of a prominent agency. There does not appear to be an exclusive contract, as scouts from Major Model Management visit castings and other Lithuanian model agencies, including Supermodels. It is a good agency and a member of M.A.M.A., the international Models and Model Agents Association.
