At what age can you become a model?
Supermodels model agency welcomes girls aged 13 to 20 and boys from the age of 16.
How tall does a model need to be?
Girls can become models if they are at least 170 cm tall, and boys if they are at least 183 cm. Our agency applies very strict requirements, so only in rare cases can shorter girls or boys become models.
I am 175 cm tall and weigh 57 kg. Would I be right for your agency?
We have only one answer to all questions of this kind: we do not select models from descriptions. Please send us your photo or visit the agency after contacting us using the details provided. The agency only contacts suitable candidates.
What weight, measurements and proportions does a model need?
Weight is not the main criterion we focus on. Supermodels model agency explains the measurement requirements for models in detail in this article.
How do I become a model? What do I need to do?
First of all, get to know what modelling work really involves, because it is not as easy as it often seems at first. You will need to combine your modelling career with your studies and work hard – being beautiful is not enough. We have written articles about the modelling profession, explained the differences between a model and a photo model, and shared tips on how to become a model. Be sure to read them!
How much does it cost to become a model?
Supermodels model agency does not charge models any fees. By agreement, the agency covers all of the model's expenses: photoshoots, composite card printing, travel to castings and other costs related to the model's work.
What is a model contract? Can I work without signing one?
You can find out what a model contract is and why it is needed in this article. Working without a contract is not possible, as it is illegal both in Lithuania and around the world. Working without a contract also gives you no guarantee that you will be paid, or that you will receive all the help you need if something goes wrong.
Can I work with several model agencies in Lithuania?
You can work with several agencies only if their work does not overlap and they have all been informed. For example, Supermodels model agency, "Aktorių agentūra" and "Editos kastingas" are agencies with different profiles and different areas of activity, so a model can work with all of them at the same time. However, as a Supermodels model you cannot work with other model agencies such as "Modilina", "Image Group" or "Baltic Models".
How do I know if I owe the agency money? When does the debt have to be repaid?
Every legally operating model agency keeps a summary of income and expenses, known as the model's balance or statement, which records the model's earnings, expenses and any outstanding debts. The agency must provide the statement whenever the model asks for it. Repayment or write-off of debts is discussed with each model individually and depends on various agreements and circumstances. You can read more about the model's balance here.
When can I expect job offers?
Supermodels model agency informs each of its models individually about their opportunities and career plans, because every model's situation is unique.
How much does a photoshoot at your agency cost?
Our agency does not do photoshoots. Models are sent to work with professional photographers, whose shoots can cost from 130 to several hundred euros – whether the agency or the model pays depends on the agreement. Polaroid shoots at the agency, on the other hand, are free of charge.
What are model polaroids and why are they needed?
Polaroids are photos in which the model should look completely natural. They are needed so that a client or a foreign model agency choosing a model can see the model's true, natural appearance, body lines, skin tone and condition, and so on. You can find more information about polaroids here.
What are model composite cards and what are they for?
A composite card is a card that represents the model and is left with clients at castings. It helps the client remember the model, as it shows the model's name and surname, height, measurements, the name of the agency the model works with and similar information. More about composite cards.
What is a model portfolio?
A model's portfolio is a collection of the model's best photos, kept in a special folder or presented in digital format. The portfolio changes as the model gains experience and as their look evolves. If you would like to learn more about why this collection of photos matters for a successful modelling career, read this article.
How should I behave at model auditions and castings?
At castings, every model has to stand out and highlight their best features. We have prepared an article about castings with tips on how to behave at model auditions – you can find it here.
Is "Agency Name" any good? What can you tell me about it? Which are the best model agencies in Lithuania?
It would not be ethical for us to comment on the work of other model agencies. When choosing an agency, it is important to look for information and reviews online yourself and to check whether the agency is a member of M.A.M.A., the international association of models and model agencies. You can find out which model agencies operate in Lithuania and which have closed here.
How can I make foreign model agencies more interested in me at castings?
The main way to attract the interest of foreign model agencies is to have as many photos as possible (your book), because it shows the model's experience. During the casting, the model also needs to be confident, act boldly, communicate easily and be themselves. Style of dress and good personal hygiene are also extremely important.
Is it important to attend castings held by foreign agencies?
Very important. Some agencies only choose models after seeing them and talking to them in person, because the model's personality matters to them. During the meeting, agency representatives can also tell the model whether they need to improve in a particular area, for example learning to walk or to pose. Models may also hear advice about their appearance, such as growing their hair or a fringe, not plucking their eyebrows, starting to exercise and so on. A meeting like this gives the model more knowledge and motivation for the changes that a successful career requires.
Can I be a photo model if I am 160 cm tall?
Our agency does not distinguish between models and photo models, because when working with foreign agencies there is only one height standard. Girls who want to become models must be at least 170 cm tall.
